Kiddo's Klubhouse
Hello and Welcome to Kiddo's Klubhouse! We offer childcare with many different options to fit the needs of each individual family. The first option is the traditional full time enrollment for first, second and third shift. The second option is part time enrollment that is paid at a daily rate for all shifts as well. Lastly, we offer an hourly rate per family for those who need a night out, have appointments, or work prn. This allows all families to find the childcare they need with the consistency needed as well.
Kiddo's Klubhouse is open on weekdays, weekends, and most holidays. If Kiddo's Klubhouse will be closed due to a holiday other than Thanksgiving or Christmas, a two week notice will be provided to each family. Kiddo's Klubhouse does not close for weather related reasons.
Our Space includes a Living room where children spend one free time session and attend gross motor activities. The dining area is used for art activities, sensory play and meal times. The room of exploration is filled with toys that are switched out weekly and is used for the other free time session during the day. Our Kitchen is equipped with a bar that allows safety keeping the children from being near food preparation, but also a divider that allows staff to keep full supervision during the meal prep times. Outside, Kiddo's Klubhouse has a fenced in covered porch that allows children to play outside even if it is raining. Beyond the fenced in porch is a fully fenced in front yard that gives the kiddo's a large space to explore with a sandbox, kitchen, splash pad, tool bench and more!

Learn. Play. Laugh. Grow. Explore. Repeat
Keeping your child safe is the number one priority at Kiddo's Klubhouse. Here we offer childcare for parents on all shifts and accommodate for parents needing part-time and full-time care as well as just a couple hours once in a while. Each child will be provided a safe way to express and explore as they navigate through ways to express their emotions through a would of ABA.
Kiddo's Klubhouse provides a structured list of activities throughout the day that allows each child to have a routine. Kiddo's Klubhouse is play-based, however each activity will also have academic opportunities for your child to grow! Kiddo's Klubhouse assists with academic learning as well as enhancing social and emotional skills as well.
Kiddo's Klubhouse Strategies
Applied Behavior Analysis is the practice of utilizing psychological principles of learning in order to shape behaviors. Parents can discuss any needs of the child with Kiddo's Klubhouse and from there target goals will be set for each child to help assist in the areas where help is most needed. Some children will be working on potty training, some children will be working on emotional regulation and communication and others may be working on gross motor skills. All goals will be modified to fit the needs of each child on an individual basis and will be incorporated into the daily schedule at Kiddo's Klubhouse.
ABA will be used in place of any discipline strategies. Kiddo's Klubhouse will not utilize forced time outs, exclusions or physical means at anytime. Every child will be given a judgement free zone to explore, learn, and grow from opportunities surrounding them in their natural environment.
It is important to us at Kiddo's Klubhouse to allow each child to explore and reach their full potential. For this reason, we do not own any jumpers, sit in walkers, or any type of equipment that is going to prevent your child from being able to reach their full potential. Studies have shown that utilizing these pieces of equipment can delay learning. Kiddo's Klubhouse does utilize high chairs for eating and table activities, cribs/pack-n-plays for safe sleep as well as play yards outside for safety precautions.
Daily Schedules and Routines
Throughout the day each child at Kiddo's Klubhouse will be provided a schedule that allows them to eat breakfast, brush teeth, participate in gross motor activities, complete art projects, engage in sensory play, and eat well balanced meals on first shift. Children will also be provided the opportunity to nap in a safe sleep location.
Second shift will consist of dinner, brushing teeth, gross motor activities, fine motor activities and interactive game nights followed by a safe place to rest in the evening if care exceeds 8pm.
Third shift will consist of having a safe place to rest, breakfast, as well as an opportunity to participate in a morning art activity.

Our mission at Kiddo's Klubhouse is to provide a safe and clean environment with quality care from qualified caregivers that allows children the foundation to thrive socially, emotionally and academically. OWNER/DIRECTOR
Hello! I am Mercedes Sims, the director and owner of Kiddo's Klubhouse. I have been an RBT since 2017 and I am excited to begin my journey of mixing ABA styles with in-home childcare. I am CPR and First Aid Certified, as well as being trained in Safe Sleep. It is my mission to provide the most quality care for parents that are unable to make typical daycare schedules work for them.
As a childcare provider I feel it is important to make sure that all children are receiving care that allows them to reach their full potential. For this reason I am a provider that does not utilize any type of equipment to delay learning. This equipment includes bouncy seats, walkers, jumpers, and anything that contains a child/could potentially delay a child in learning.
I also believe that parents are the most important people in a child's life. Because of this, it is important to me to listen to all parent concerns and do my very best to make sure that while in my care each and every child can be taught in a way that coincides with their home life.
I am currently wrapping up my final classes for my bachelor's degree at Capella University in Psychology with future plans to continue my masters degree in ABA. Evaluating where each child is at the current moment and setting goals continuously to individualize a learning plan is what I strive to do in order to help children thrive at Kiddo's Klubhouse. I have four children of my own and cannot wait for the pleasure of getting to know and help your child reach their maximum potential.
